NOTE
We sometimes have more applicants than we do children and we are not always able to pair applicants with a child. Because our volunteers work one-on-one wth a child, we strongly consider personality and qualifications/experience when pairing the volunteers with specific children.

THE APPLICATION PROCESS

Step 1
Submit an application. If the applicant meets our requirements, we will invite the applicant to attend a 30 minute orientation at READ 718 where he/she can learn more about our program and we get to know the applicant.

Step 2
If it is a good fit and we are able to pair the volunteer with a child, the volunteer will be invited to attend a 3 hour training which usually takes place on a Saturday.

Step 3
The volunteer will get fingerprinted through Go Pass.

Step 4
The volunteer will then begin tutoring at the start of the next cycle.
